As if she was Dead is a project I worked on during my studies at the London College of Communication during a fanzine workshop. I used an archive of old photographs, bought at a flea market somewhere in Athens, to build a narrative, telling the story of a woman. I created a parable to tell the story of Greece (a country Greeks consider a female), her trial and tribulations and her eminent death (a common sense amongst Greeks during the seven years of financial crisis). This small publication engages with issues of national identity and remembrance. At the same time, it's an attempt to establish a link between graphic design practice and the theme of Memory.
